NCS Kogi State Chapter
The Kogi State Chapter of Nigeria Computer Society came into prominence with the ascendancy of Mr. Ebenezer Ajayi to the chairmanship of the chapter. He steered the affairs of the chapter bringing the chapter to national awareness with participation in national activities and also organizing state conferences and workshops, he conducted monthly meetings in different towns in the state so as to carry all members in different parts of the state along and make them feel a part of the family. He handed over the reins to Mr. Joshua Agbogun in 2014 after the conduct of elections, Mr. Agbogun maintained the tempo by organizing state conferences, workshops and state monthly meetings in different parts of the state. The state chapter won the national whizkids competition in Akure.
Mr. Agbogun was replaced by Dr. O. S. Ayodele in late 2019, with her tenure came the COVID-19 lockdown and that birthed the state monthly webinars which had experts in diverse tech fields delivering a workshop in each of the webinars. She also organized workshops, conferences and outreaches to state government ministries, private organizations along with secondary schools to mentor and train their young talents. Mr. Godwin Sani just won election as the state chairman in November 2023 and he is poised to maintain the tempo while making concerted efforts to take the chapter into new partnerships.
The state chapter as representatives of Nigeria Computer Society at the national level, caters to the professional needs of all computer and IT professionals in the state along with creating partnerships with government and private organizations within the state for advancements in the Computer and IT field.
